Changes to my study programme

Imagen
I think the current program needs to be changed. To begin with, the name of the program is confusing. When we say Music Theory, we are referring to a field of study and not a Bachelor of Musical Arts. But the name is just the first of many more problems.      In my opinion, one of the big aspects to correct is the limited offer of courses aimed at managing artistic projects. It is precisely there where the presence of musicians is demanded.      The workload is not well distributed. There are weeks when we practically do nothing and others when we collapse with all the tests. I have always believed that an evaluation calendar must be established, coordinated between all faculties and departments. There should be no classes during each test week.      The infrastructure is certainly terrible. The building is old, many of the electrical circuits are out of standard and there are rooms with leaks that get ...

Time travel to the past or future

Imagen
Honestly, if I had the chance to time travel I wouldn't take it. I love living in the present and being in the here and now. However, if I have to choose, I would prefer to travel to the future instead of the past.      First, I would travel forty years forward. I would like to know if I have children, grandchildren and see what I look like as an old man. Will I be healthy? Will my memory work well? Will I still be able to play the guitar? These are some of the questions that arise.      Then, I would travel to the year 2203. I would like to know if in 200 more years, we will be able to reverse the effects of climate change. Will the planet remain a complete disaster?      If I were forced to travel back in time, I would go to the year 2600 BC. I would like to know how the Egyptian pyramids were built. One of the greatest mysteries of humanity.      Whether I go to the past or the future, I wo...

The best holidays ever

Imagen
The best holidays I've ever had, were about 9 years ago. During July 2014, we traveled with my family to Peru. In total, we were 10 people of different ages. The youngest: my niece Isidora. She was only 6 years old.     The trip began in Arica. We leave from there to Tacna and then to Arequipa. We didn't stay there long, and continued traveling to Cusco. We spent 4 days there to visit Machu Picchu. From Hidroeléctrica to Aguas Calientes there is a distance of 10 kilometers. Everyone as a family walking and enjoying the landscape, and guess what? Isidora made the entire journey without complaining or getting tired.      We stayed in Aguas Calientes for one night. The next day, together with other tourists we went by bus to Machu Picchu. We were only there for a couple of hours, but it was an exciting time for all of us. Having experienced a connection with a magical and ancestral place is a memory that I will surely keep forever.

Italy

The country I would most likely want to go is Italy. I want to visit some of their important cities and to explore the italian culture. I also love italian food, so i would be pleased to eat pasta there. And probably there's more than a lot to see...      If someone asked me why i want to go to Italy maybe I'd say many reasons. Mainly I want to visit historic places in Rome. Me being in The Colloseum or the Pantheon? It simply blows my mind.      Florence it would take an special chapter on my travel. Standing in front of paintings like "The Birth of Venus" by Botticelli and "The Annunciation of Leonardo Da Vinci" would be amazing. What about the opportunity to look the sculpture "David"? That Michelangelo's masterpiece... Awesome!      One thing that i can't forget is to eat pasta in Italy. I'd love to be in a typical italian restaurant eating some ravioli, canneloni or spaghetti. What kind of pizza? All of them, of cours...
