Changes to my study programme

I think the current program needs to be changed. To begin with, the name of the program is confusing. When we say Music Theory, we are referring to a field of study and not a Bachelor of Musical Arts. But the name is just the first of many more problems.

In my opinion, one of the big aspects to correct is the limited offer of courses aimed at managing artistic projects. It is precisely there where the presence of musicians is demanded.

The workload is not well distributed. There are weeks when we practically do nothing and others when we collapse with all the tests. I have always believed that an evaluation calendar must be established, coordinated between all faculties and departments. There should be no classes during each test week.

The infrastructure is certainly terrible. The building is old, many of the electrical circuits are out of standard and there are rooms with leaks that get wet when it rains. Furthermore, there is little budget for tuning and repairing instruments, mainly pianos. I think that's embarrassing for future music professionals.

The technology is scarce. The Wi-Fi network does not work well, the computers in the library are few and not updated. I want to add that we don't even have a photocopy service. How can we help us with our scores?

Fortunately, not everything is bad. The teachers and staff are excellent.
